A Semester in Review
Happy 2012! The fall semester of 2011 has been very exciting and fun for Imaginet, and as the year concludes, we will do a little recap of what we did last semester.
We started last semester with one of the best accounts we have ever had: the Irish International Immigration Center (IIIC). For the first time, Imaginet is working with a non-Tufts affiliated nonprofit organization, and our account team, under the leadership of senior Dan McLeod has helped the IIIC create a comprehensive social media marketing campaign to raise funding and promote the organization. We also worked with on-campus organizations: Tufts Association of South Asians (TASA), BalanceYourLife, Global Health Networks, Active Minds to promote various events and design logos and posters for the clubs.
Imaginet strives to provide opportunities for Imaginet members to experience the industry, and this semester we were honored to have Jenna Lebel, managing director of Likeable Media’s Boston office (https://twitter.com/JennaL15). She came and spoke to us about the changing world of social media marketing. It was a very fun and interactive conversation, and all of us came out of the event knowing a lot more about social media. We also hosted a Photoshop for beginners workshop, teaching students who are interested in the software the magic Photoshop can do.
Last but not least, Imaginet toured at Google’s Cambridge office! Needless to say, it was a blast and everyone of us just loved Google a little bit more. People there were very nice and helpful, and the food. THE FREE FOOD! Here are some snippets of the tour:

That’s 2011 Fall for us, and we are looking forward to the next semester in 2012!
Come, Learn, and Create,
